What is Quad insurance?

Quad insurance policies cover all-terrain vehicles (ATV), against third party damage, and (if selected) fire, theft & accidental damage. Typically, quad bikes can't be insured under a standard motorcycle insurance policy, and sometimes require specialist cover for off-roading, particularly with farm or rural use. 

Getting quad insurance is essential for those looking to protect their ATV-related investment, ensuring they are provided with financial support if anything unfortunate happens.

What Quad cover do I need?

If you take your quad on to a public road, then you fall under the same insurance requirements that apply for all other road vehicles.

That means needing third-party only cover as a minimum, which covers you for damage to other people’s vehicles/property. You can, however, upgrade your third-party cover to include fire & theft cover for your quad too, or upgrade even further to fully comprehensive cover, which includes cover against damages to your quad as well.

As well as that, for your quad to remain road legal, you’ll need to keep it taxed, insured and MOT’d (unless you've SORN'd it.). For an additional cost, we also offer Breakdown cover Helmet and Leathers cover.

Cover for off-road quads is not compulsory, however you may want to cover your quad for fire or theft, and upgrade your policy with add ons options to cover for accidental damage are available too.
