What we do

From our numerous high street branches, we believe that we do things a little differently to other insurers. We provide the personal touch that's so often missing from today's comparison websites and call centres. We've been doing this since we were founded in the 1960s and over half a million policy holders now come to us for just about every kind of insurance.

We understand that customers don't want to spend ages putting their life story into a website in return for a quote. We also know that nobody likes plodding through reams of terms and conditions trying to make sense of their insurance policy. At A-Plan, we make sure they don't have to, with a 900-strong team of advisors who are there to explain, advise and support, from quote to claim.

And that's where you fit in. As a member of the A-Plan team, you'll provide the outstanding client service that makes us who we are - and you'll be rewarded with a supportive environment that will enable your insurance career to flourish.

We believe that the strength of our people is key to our future growth, and we'll do everything we can to help you get your career to where you want it to be. With our superb training scheme, you should be able to achieve the CII Certificate of General Insurance in your first year with us. With ambition and potential, you could even reach Branch Manager level within three years.

It says a lot about A-Plan that our Branch Managers have been with us for an average of 17 years, and all of these have been promoted from within A-Plan. In the commercial arena A-Plan is focused on providing top drawer service to the local business community. Each and every business, regardless of size, deserves to be treated individually, and not be farmed off to a call centre hundreds of miles away. Our commercial footprint is growing within our branch network, and significant career opportunities are there for those who are prepared to go the extra mile.

Our future

We believe that we are going places! Our branch network continues to grow and as you will see, we now have over 80 branches - more recently opening in Wilmslow, Tunbridge Wells, Horsham, Chelmsford, Chichester and Exeter. Even if we don't have a location close to where you want to work please keep an eye on us for the future.
